Our Mission

The Women’s/Community Service Committee at IAM Local 1487 is committed to advocating for women’s rights and enhancing community welfare. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where women can thrive and contribute to the community through various service projects and initiatives.

We aim to empower women within our Local and the broader community by providing resources, education, and opportunities for involvement. Our objectives include promoting gender equality, supporting local charities, and organizing events that bring our community together.

On Behalf Of Local 1487,The Executive Board, The Women’s Committee And Members We Were Able To Do Our Annual Back To School Drive Assisting 40 Underprivileged Children Back To School Supply. The Principal At Central Elementary is Des Plaines Was So Excited For Receiving Back To School Kit, As Well As Folders, Notebooks, Notebook Paper, Case Of Crayon, Markers, Color Pencils, Dry Erasers And Boards, Plenty of Pencils, And Several Pairs Of Bottoms For The Boys And Girls.
